Privacy Policy
Effective August 24, 2026 · Community Association Pulse LLC (“CA-Pulse”)
CA-Pulse is an education hub for Florida’s community-association industry. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what we do (and don’t do) with it, in plain language.
What we collect
What you give us. When you create an account we ask for your name, email address, and role-specific details: a manager’s CAM license number and company; a board member’s association and seat; a provider’s or business partner’s company information. You may also add optional details like a phone number, counties of interest, and alert preferences.
What we look up. We verify members against public records: the Florida DBPR licensee file for managers, and Florida Division of Corporations (Sunbiz) filings for board members. These are public records published by the State of Florida.
What happens automatically. Like most sites, we record basic usage (searches run, courses viewed, and registration clicks) to make the finder better and to show providers how their listings perform in aggregate.
How we use it
- To verify that members are who they say they are.
- To show you courses and events that match your role and the credit you need.
- To send transactional email: verification codes, registration confirmations, account notices.
- To send marketing email such as new-course alerts and event invites only if you opted in. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects your account.
- To show providers aggregate statistics about their listings (views, clicks, counties). These are counts, not lists of who viewed.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell your personal contact information.
- We do not display verification data. License details and any contact information used to verify your identity are used for that purpose only and are never shown to providers or other members.
- We do not process course payments. When you register for a course, we send you to the provider’s own sign-up page; any payment happens with the provider, under the provider’s terms.
When information is shared
If you register for a course or event through CA-Pulse, the hosting provider receives what it needs to run its event: your name, role, and the contact details you provided for that registration. Providers may use those details for that event only; CA-Pulse does not give providers its member list.
We use trusted service providers to operate the site: hosting and database (Vercel, Supabase) and email delivery (Resend). They process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of CA-Pulse and its members.
Public records
Board-member verification relies on officer names published in Florida corporate annual reports, and manager verification on the DBPR’s public licensee roll. CA-Pulse displays filed names and titles as the state publishes them, with the filing date. If a filed record about you looks wrong, the underlying correction happens with the state; contact us and we will re-sync our copy.
Your choices
- Update your work email, phone, and preferences anytime from My Account.
- Opt out of marketing email with one click, or from My Account.
- Ask us to delete your account and associated personal data by emailing admin@ca-pulse.com. We’ll confirm when it’s done. Public-record data (state filings) is not ours to delete, but your account and contact details are.
Security & retention
Accounts are protected by password authentication; data is stored with access controls that limit confidential fields to identity verification. We keep account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal and operational reasons, then delete it.
Changes & contact
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll note the new effective date here and, for significant changes, tell members by email. Questions: admin@ca-pulse.com.
